Workshop Key Information:

PRICE:

Workshops are £35 per person and available to book via. email. Payment must be made prior to the workshop date to confirm your booking and pre-booking is essential. Gift certificates are also available on request, for no additional cost.

WHATS INCLUDED:

Our workshop sessions are 2.5 hour taught handbuilding sessions. We will provide KGM Clay for use during the workshop to create your pottery piece/s, which we will glaze and fire after the workshop ready for collection. You will be emailed to confirm when your pottery piece/s are ready to collect.

Please note that sometimes pottery pieces do not survive the firing process, we will take every precaution to ensure your piece makes it in one piece. However, we are not liable for any pieces that crack or break during the firing process and can only apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

As our sessions are open to creativity we recommend thinking about what you may wish to create at the workshop before arrival, and if you have a specific idea and wish to bring along any inspiration photos etc.. then you are more than welcome to. However, please note there is no pressure and we can also provide inspiration on what to create!

WORKSHOP SIZE:

Our workshops are held in small groups of 4-6, to enable our workshop lead to provide you with plenty of guidance and support throughout the workshop, therefore no prior experience is required.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Aprons will be provided but please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty as well as sensible footwear; as we are located in the cellar of the Foxlowe Arts Centre. Unfortunately, the cellar can only be accessed by a full set of stairs and therefore you must be able to use stairs comfortably to attend the workshop. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to provide accessible workshops in future.

REFRESHMENTS:

Food and drink can be purchased from the Foxlowe Cafe, which is open Monday- Saturday 9.30am- 3pm and offers freshly cooked hot food, homemade cakes and drinks. Please note hot food should be eaten in the cafe area only and not in the cellar.
